Simple DIY Candle Tray

I have been wanting a candle tray centerpiece for my coffee table for a while. So I have been on the lookout at thrift and craft stores for an affordable tray that I could find cheap.  I wasn’t able to find one cheap enough in the design I wanted.  I kept my eyes open for one that was affordable that I could possibly redo.  I was in Hobby Lobby when I came across this tray on clearance for 80% off.  It had great potential and the price was right at under $3.00.

I decided that this tray would be perfect to repaint.  I used simple gray chalk paint to paint this piece and a disposable foam paint brush.  I already had chalk-paint on hand, but if you don’t you can find tons of DIY recipes on Pinterest.

After the paint was dried I added all these bits to get the finished look.
