Today I made a wreath using mostly items that I purchased at the Dollar Tree. In fact everything was found at the Dollar Tree except the decorative clothespins. I purchased those in a grab bag at Michael’s for a total of $2.00. The total amount I spent on this project was $4.00.
This is the breakdown:
Metal Wreath $1.00 (Dollar Tree)
Plain Clothespins $1.00 (Dollar Tree)
Decorative Clothespins $2.00 (Found in a grab bag from Michael’s)
The first step is to place your clothespin that you would like to start with on the second wire. If you are looking at the wreath it will be the second one from the middle.
The second step is to place another clothespin beside it on the third wire.
You just keep alternating the placement of the clothespins.
This is what my finished wreath looks like.
The great thing about this project is that it is so versatile. You can purchase all blank clothespins and paint them different colors to go with different themes. You can do orange and black for Halloween, red and green for Christmas, and red, white, and blue for the fourth of July. The possibilities are endless!
I completed this project with my daughter and we finished in about 10 minutes. I loved that it was an easy craft. Did I mention it was also mention the amount spent was only $4.00!
