Quick $5.00 DIY Chalk Painted Shabby Chic Shaker Set Makeover

Hi everyone! I am so sorry for the lapse in blog post recently. I recently had surgery on my shoulder and it has made blogging difficult. Now that I can manage a little better I thought I would do a craft that was easy and affordable. So without further delay back to blogging!

If you have read any of my blog you know how much I love Dollar Tree. I was browsing in store recently and came across a glass salt and pepper set.

I picked the set up on a whim and wasn’t really sure how I was going to change them.  A few days later I was in a different store and came across this chalk paint. I think the price was around $1.60 each.  I thought it would be perfect to try and paint the Salt and Pepper Shakers.

It took 3 or 4 layers of the mineral chalk paint to cover the glass.  Then I went over and applied the antique wax only to the places I wanted it to show.  I did not paint the top because I did not want it to come in contact with the salt and pepper.  This is the finished look. It was very easy and the price was under $5.00, and I can use the paint for other projects as well! What do you think?
